The call of God is the answer to the cries of His people," said Pope Francis. "Brother Fortunas, Servant of God, was a special instrument of God's mercy, chosen to serve the people of three countries across two continents."

Born in Brzeg Dolny, Poland (formerly Brzy Luw), Brother Fortunas' vocation matured during World War II. He later played a crucial role in restoring the war-torn city of Frankfurt, Germany. Inspired by Saint John of God's healing ministry, he brought solace to the suffering, healing to the sick, and bread to the hungry.

In Kerala, India, Brother Fortunas embodied God's mercy, responding to the cries of the people. This book, comprising three parts – God's Calling, Ascetic Practice, and Ascetic Life – showcases his spiritual journey, ascetic training, and the lessons he imparted to the Taiya Rakhi Brothers and Sisters, now translated into Malayalam.
