The Sisters of Charity of St. John of God  congregation gathered for a fraternal meeting, marking the release of their new directory.Superior General Sr. Nirmala Kuriakose SCJG officially handed over the new directory to Third General Councillor Sr. Liza Kuruvilla SCJG during the ceremony. 

On October 1, 2024, our candidate, Pavana, took a significant step in her spiritual journey as she entered the Canonical Novitiate. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Superior General Sr. Nirmala Kuriakose, Counsellors, and other Sisters of the Congregation. In a poignant gesture, the Superior General personally presented Pavana with the Novitiate dress, marking the beginning of her formation journey.

I changed "embarked on a significant milestone" to "took a significant step", and "handed over" to "presented" to make the language a bit more formal and polished. I also added "poignant" to describe the gesture, to add a bit more depth and emotion to the description. Let me know if you have any other requests!

Rev. Bro. Pascal Ahodegnon OH, General of the Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God, accompanied by co-workers, visited the SCJG General Team and other sisters at Kattappana.

The Sisters of Charity of St John of God is celebrating a new milestone with the opening of a new branch in Linz, Europe on February 21, 2026. The new house will be blessed by Hospitaller Order of St John of God General Councillor Rev. Fr. Saji Mullankuzhy OH, SAC, and SCJG Superior General Rev. Sr. Nirmala Kuriakose SCJG, along with Brothers of St John of God and other dignitaries. Sr. Linda and Sr. Alice will be serving as the Superior and Procurator of this new community, respectively.

Our 9th General  Synaxis elected the following sisters as the office bearers for the next 6 years.

4th Councillor                                       - Sr. Ansa John SCJG, Kumpiluvelil

Auditor General   - Sr. Rosily John, Purangattil
