SISTERS OF CHARITY OF ST. JOHN OF GOD, GENERALATE - KATTAPPANA

Generalate come under the parish of Kattappana, in the Diocese of Kanjirappally. Today the SCJG has 17 branches under the Generalate at Kattappana. When the community of the SCJG began on 8th September 1977, it had no house of its own to settle down. So the first members stayed in the 2nd floor of St. Johns Hospital. By 3rd June 1979 their accommodation was shifted to Pratheeksha Bhavan and it continued there till the new Generalate house was opened on 8th September 1994. Members render their Services in hospital, Pratheeksha Bhavan, parishes, catechism, counselling centers, nursing college, schools, and families.
